Wheelchair Trays and Armtrough

The adaptive Full Support Tray, Lateral Support Half Tray and Armtrough wheelchair accessories are well built, comfortably padded and easy to attach to wheelchair arms. Their innovative design accepts the additional attachment of any combination of our lateral supports and hand/arm positioning accessories to further adapt to each patients needs.

The Armtrough provides the special comfort and support needed by patients with one-sided weakness. The Armtrough cradles the effected arm and keeps it well positioned.

Features:

• Full Trays are easily attached using either the Sliding Arm Bracket (S-101) or Velcro® straps.

• Half Trays and Armtrough are attached using either the mount-on version or the Sliding Arm Bracket (S-101).

• The flip-up feature of the Half Tray and Armtrough functions with either attachment method.

• The Armtrough Alternative (S-139) is sold in either of the assembly options shown, but also allows the attachment of our other hand/arm accessories.

• The Armtrough can be adjusted forward to accommodate larger patients.

Elevated Armtrough:

This elevated version allows a larger range of arm positions and reduces swelling with Edema like conditions. Addition of the Hand Block option provides ideal hand and finger position.

Lateral Supports and Hand/Arm Positioning

This is our collection of comfortable wheelchair accessories that make our Trays and our Armtrough completely adaptable. We have designed numerous attachments to address the wide range of special positioning needs presented by wheelchair users.

Lateral Supports:

• ergonomically shaped and padded to prevent pressure and to provide good trunk support

• easily positioned close to the body for optimal support

• does not impede transferring and requires no readjustment

• Extended Lateral (S-116) increases area of support and positions arm away from trunk.

• Recurved Lateral (S-051) prevents extreme flexion of arm.

Elbow Stops:

• straight or curved, Elbow Stops are available in short or extended lengths (S-57, S-115, S-82)

Handblock:

• curved shape fits naturally into hand to promote correct positioning and to prevent extreme flexion (S-99)

Extended Armrest Pad (S65):

• replaces any standard wheelchair armrest and increases support, stability and comfort

• for sensitive skin available with Elastogel® insert and cotton jersey covering

Sliding Arm Bracket:

• attaches to the Full Tray, Half Tray or Armtrough so they may slide easily on and off a standard wheelchair arm

Leg and Foot Positioning

We added comfort to the functionality of the conventional wheelchair footrest with our Legrest Panel, Foot Board and Wheelchair Accessory Bags.

Legrest Panel:

• unique sling design holds legs gently in place

• attaches to frame with Velcro® fasteners

Foot Board:

• prevents feet from slipping between footplates by spanning the gap between them

• attaches on one side to footrest frame with hinge to allow board to rotate up and away

Legrest with Accessory Bag:

• carries personal effects, urine bags or other medical aids

• legrest and bag are all-in-one unit

• Velcro® flap or pinch closure

• regular (S-164), small (S-166) or custom size (S-167) available for all wheelchair widths

Custom shaping may be required, like extra depth. Foot Boards come with the hardware required for mounting. It isnecessary to drill 4 holes in the foot plate of the wheelchair that will align with the 4 T-nuts in the Foot Board.

If increased cushioning is required for sensitive skin we can incorporate Elastogel® inserts inside our seating components and cover them in our usual easy care vinyl or in soft cotton jersey.(Please note on your order page)

The Comfort Chair Pad is ideal for relieving the discomfort caused by moisture and heat during prolonged sitting. Made of soft Berber fleece, the pad's thick construction also relieves pressure points.
